Neverland

“Neverland” was my first collection of poetry. It was published in 1992, while I was a student, and contains 14 poems written for the creative writing workshops that were part of my degree course. Although there are some good bits, most of the poems are fairly rough, betraying my (at the time) inexperience as a writer.

Although very short, “Neverland” had its own ISBN number and there are copies in the British Library and five other libraries around the UK.

Poems Featured In Focus Magazine

The new issue of Focus arrived this morning, containing five poems from my recent collection, Los Muertos. Focus is a magazine for writers, published by the British Science Fiction Association. The titles of the featured poems are:

  • Diaspora
  • Ragnarok
  • Nevada
  • Olympus Mons
  • Year Zero

On his blog, editor Martin McGrath writes: “I was going to stop publishing poetry in Focus, but “Ragnarok” convinced me to let it stay.”

New Interzone

The September issue of Interzone is now available, featuring my new short story, Ack-Ack Macaque.

And in other news: I received the first paperback copy of my poetry collection Los Muertos in the post today – and it looks good. Forty original poems wrapped in a stunning cover, all for less than a fiver.

Focus

According to the editor, the new issue of Focus will feature a number of poems from my newly released collection.
